I am supporting this Mighty Moose 5K for my dearest friend. Becky Jacques has been my neighbor for over 34 years. She and her family are actually our family. When she was diagnosed with ovarian growth we went into high gear. With the help of a fellow nurse, one that I admire and wish to emulate, Daniele D we got Becky some of the best care in Boston. She was a patient on CWN 8 North. She was treated with respect and phenomenal nursing care. In support of Becky and others that may be dealing with the diagnosis of Ovarian Cancer I've signed up to support the 6th annual Mighty Moose 5k and raise money for Ovarian Cancer Prevention. These funds are critically important to support ovarian cancer research led by Dr. Kevin Elias, who is a gynecologic oncologist and surgeon-scientist at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston and is affiliated with the Dana Farber Cancer Institute. Dr. Elias and his team of researchers have identified a groundbreaking new process to detect ovarian cancer at its earliest stages. The initial results of Dr. Elias’ research are incredibly promising! Please consider donating to this cause. Thank you all!
Fondly, Chris Sheils
