I am running The Mighty Moose 5k in honor of my high school friend Maura Downes next month. Funds raised are going toward developing early detection testing for ovarian cancer which would be an absolute game changer for survivability. Dr. Kevin Elias, a gynecologic oncologist and surgeon-scientist at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston and is affiliated with the Dana Farber Cancer Institute and his team of researchers have identified a groundbreaking new process to detect ovarian cancer at its earliest stages. The initial results of Dr. Elias’ research are incredibly promising. You donation will help expand the study to include women all over the country.
